Victory Motorcycles
Victory Motorcycles have been manufacturing motorcycles since 1997, with their first bike going into production the year after. It is part of a company called Polaris, located in Minnesota, and when it comes to affordable motorcycles and a brand with many variations, they can be perfect for those just getting into riding.
The first model of Victory motorcycles, the V92C, is now known as the Classic Cruiser. Initially it did not do so well, but after Special Edition versions in both 2001 and 2002, it became something of a favorite of Victory fans sometime after it phased out.
The next model in the line up of Victory motorcycles is the V92SC, a SportCruiser which was offered in 2001 and 2002. It has high ground clearance and is adjustable thanks to a dual position set up located on the frame beneath the seat. Although the SportCruiser did not sell well when it came out, these bikes can be found on Internet auction sites and in used motorcycle dealerships, above others.
The V92TC, a Touring Cruiser, was available on the market between 2002 and 2006. It came equipped with redesigned seats and the Freedom Engine, new at the time. This bike did well with larger bikers, as its seat height was tall and the bike itself featured quite a lot of room. The Freedom Engine in these Victory motorcycles was much more powerful than the engines in its predecessors. Eventually this model got a suspension make over and rubber handle bars.
The year 2003 saw the Vegas of Victory Motorcycles. This bike was more aesthetically pleasing than the motorcycles which came before it. This model also came equipped with the Freedom Engine, as well as a five speed transmission that got upgraded to a six speed by 2006, where the model also achieved a one hundred cubic inch engine.
In 2004, Victory released the first of its Kingpin series, which includes the Kingpin, the Kingpin Deluxe, and the Kingpin Tour. Although all four were quite powerful, the Kingpin was dropped to the line up around 2007. However, all the Kingpins can generally be found in online venues, used motorcycle dealerships, and private vendors.
The Hammer was the next Victory model, updated to the Hammer S in 2007, now equipped with high line suspension and special paint.
Other Victory bikes include the Vegas 8-Ball, so called because it is a Vegas inspired bike that is powder-coated in black (8-Ball); the Vegas Jackpot, offered in 2006, considered an extreme custom motorcycle; the Ness Signature Series, 2007, it features chrome accessories, custom paint job and seats; and, finally, the Vison Street and Vision tour – street and touring bikes, respectively. They are included in the 2008 line up.
